One more quick link: Undergraduates at Penn are mobilizing to support GET-UP, and they have the student government on their side. We used to do stuff like this with the YCC, but besides being totally and utterly powerless, most YCC reps are self-important, obnoxious, and the kind of people you hated in high school. There are lots of exceptions, but after this tortuous, disgusting, festival of pompous assholes and misinformation, despite a somewhat pyhrric victory, we decided to turn towards other organizing models. I hope the folks at Penn have better luck with their "UA" on this issue than we had with our sad excuse for a representative body.
