Education In The Streets

I wish this were true. But thes systematic silence about rape and sexual harrasment at this university leaves me skeptical at best. Plus, it's hockfield, and we already know she's a liar.

This isn't particularly convincing either. Anderson has several incorrect facts and completely ignores the anti-union campaign report (see links) and the findings of the Academic Labor Board. Moreover, her vitriol, which directly echoes the propaganda of Levin, Hockfield, Salovey, Appelquist, and Rodin, suggests the kinds of fear and intimidation happening in her department more than any real commitment to anti-union ideology.

On the bright side, Anderson's column runs opposite this gem from Bob Proto.

Yale is trying to persuade its own graduate teachers that change is impossible, and that resistance is futile. It’s the same message they’ve tried on us for years, and we proved wrong. Change is possible. Now, it’s GESO’s time.
