A rarity: a good piece of reporting in the New York Post. (Courtesy of Josh Eidelson.) Wesley Clark is a major supporter of the School of Americas (now called the Western Hemispheric Institute for Security and Cooperation, (WHISC,) formerly in the canal zone but now in Fort Benning, Georgia. At WHISC, erudite dictators and death squad leaders (Manuel Noriega and El Salvador's Robert D'Aubisson, to name but a few) recieve lessons in torture, rape, and murder from the best minds of the imperial american military elite.

One of the most controversial school incidents occurred in November 1989, when a Salvadoran army patrol executed six Jesuit priests, their cook and her daughter. The United Nations found that 19 of the 26 soldiers graduated from the school.

If almost starting World War III weren't enough, this is a clear reason to be very skeptical of anything this guy says.
