Education In The Streets

Bit of a hiatus while i was in Mexico City (which was great, thanks for asking.) Now i'm back in New Haven and sub zero temperatures and fascist restructured knowledge subcontractors abound. Bush wants to put a man on mars and bring back the braceros of yore. Kids are killing kids, but this time, Cheryl and Sandy, it's about more than just juice. Thomas Friedman is still a fascist apologist. (Kurds? What Kurds?)

The Times' coverage of the immigration shit has been rather lame. They should read La Jornada. La Jornada's David Brooks could kick the NYT's pet Neoconservative pig of the same name's ass any day of the week. La Jornada's 12 page exploration of the significance of the new policy and the motivations underlying it should be required reading for anyone who studies this stuff.

Going home to crash for a few. Long day of shopping classes tomorrow. Last semester - HOLY SHIT! I Need a Job!!!
