Yale Forces Bankrupt State Health Care System To Pay For Workers' Families' Insurance
A new GESO report,
Baby Blue, picked up by the
register today, shows that at least a dozen grad student families have been forced to put their kids on the embattled HUSKY plan because Yale won't provide health care for families of graduate teachers and researchers. Yale has 11 Billion dollars, while Connecticut's state budget, thanks to a Republican governor and wimpy liberal legislature, isn't cutting it for poor and working families who need and deserve free universal health care. The GESO report also focuses on the problem of Day Care and Yale's lack of any kind of Parental Leave program, and the lack of gender parity among grad student parents which is directly linked to these issues.
