On an interesting note, the Kruger campaign's finance filings haven't made it to the New Haven City Clerk's Office yet. The filing deadline was Tuesday. It's Thursday, now. In the last round of filings, it became evident that Kruger had accepted a donation from an organization called the Northwestern Leadership PAC, which is funded by the committee to re-elect Andrew Roraback, the Republican State Senate Whip. It's odd for a candidate who claims to be an Independent to be accepting funding from somone like Roraback, whose record on issues like campaign finance reform is less than stellar. It's even odder that this contribution has been filtered through a Political Action Committee that obscures its connection to Roraback, and that money meant to elect a Republican is being used to try to elect an "Independent" in New Haven. I wonder what's in the new filings, and why they aren't in yet...

Yep. Healey's right. We need Clean Elections.
