Italy - ON STRIKE

All they want is to protect pensions - but Berlusconi, fascist multi-billionaire and Italian prime minister wants to restructure pension formulae and raise the minimum retirement age. So, yesterday, according to Reuters, millions of Italians went on strike. The one-day general strike is the second against Berlusconi since April 2002, when "he was hit by the first full-day work stoppage in two decades as the country ground to a halt to protest labor market reforms." "Berlusconi's first government," the article reports, "was toppled in 1994 over the pensions issue."
